Project Share

We support Project Share with volunteer work and funds. In 2008, we gave $2500 to help feed as many as 1000 families in Cumberland County. Steve Petersen coordinates our efforts to include providing volunteers to help with monthly food distribution. For the past two years and planned for this year is support of Canstruction in disassembly of structures at the Farm Show. Steve and Elaine are shown here at a recent meeting.

Haloween Parade Marshalls

Marv Salzman has been coordinating our efforts in support of Carlisle Recreation Department to provide Haloween parade marshalls. We have supported this event every year since the club was formed.

Good Samaritan (Furniture)

This year we began to provide support for this effort to provide the needy with furniture. We provided $1500 in funds in 2008 and George Teague frequently assembles volunteers from our club to deliver furniture.

Flag Placement

Bob Taylor coordinates our efforts to place and remove the National Flag on the streets of Carlisle for several national holidays. Rotary volunteers assemble early in the morning and late in the afternoon to place the flags and then carefully gather them in for each of these holidays.
